Currently Distinguished Professor of Microbiology at the University of Florida and Director of The University of Florida Center for Renewable Chemicals and Fuels, Dr. Ingram developed the four patents (among nearly 20 more, with numerous others pending) that serve as Myriant’s critical technology base.

Professor Ingram’s research focuses on the genetic engineering of novel bacterial biocatalysts for the conversion of lignocellulosic biomass into value-added chemical compounds.
