Myriant to Participate in Industry Conferences in October

Quincy, MA (October 9, 2012) –Myriant Corporation today announced its planned participation at upcoming industry conferences throughout the month of October.

Stephen J. Gatto, Chairman and CEO, will participate in the 2012 Pacific Rim Summit on Industrial Biotechnology & Bioenergy in Vancouver, Canada. Mr. Gatto will present as part of a workshop titled, "The Opportunities and Challenges to Building a Sustainable Supply Chain Model for Renewable Chemicals," on Thursday, October 11, 2012, from 9:45 a.m. – 11:15 a.m. PDT. On that same day, Mr. Gatto will also present as part of a panel entitled, "Advances in the Commercial Production of Biobased Products," from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. PDT. The 2012 Pacific Rim Summit on Industrial Biotechnology & Bioenergy will be held at The Westin Bayshore in Vancouver, Canada.

On Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. CDT, Michael Mang, Myriant's Product Technology and Application Manager, will attend the Bioplastics Symposium in San Antonio, TX and will deliver a presentation titled, "Bio-based Succinic Acid and 1,4-Butanediol: Enabling Bioplastics." The Bioplastics Symposium will be held at The Westin Riverwalk Hotel in San Antonio, TX.

Also, Mr. Gatto will take part in the Platts 2nd Annual Renewable Chemicals Conference in Houston, TX. Mr. Gatto will participate on a panel entitled, "Innovative Processes for Renewable Chemicals," on Thursday, October 18, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. CDT. Platts 2nd Annual Renewable Chemicals Conference will be held at The Marriot West Loop in Houston, TX.
