Myriant to Participate in Industry Conferences in September

Quincy, Massachusetts – September 4, 2012 — Myriant Corporation announced its planned participation at upcoming industry conferences throughout the month of September.

Stephen J. Gatto, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, will participate in the Global Chemical Industry Sustainability Summit in Brussels, Belgium. Mr. Gatto will participate on a panel entitled "Search for the Next Breakthrough: VC's and Companies on the Move," and deliver a presentation entitled "Myriant: Successful Commercialization of Renewable Chemicals" on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. CEST. The Global Chemical Industry Sustainability Summit will be held from September 10th – September 11th, 2012 at The Hotel Brussels in Brussels, Belgium.

Also on Tuesday, September 11, 2012, Susan Hager, Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications and Government Affairs, will participate in the Louisiana Biofuels and Bioprocessing Summit in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Ms. Hager will deliver a presentation entitled "Breakthroughs and Opportunities in the Creation of Biobased Chemicals in Louisiana" from 1:05 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. CDT. The Louisiana Biofuels and Bioprocessing Summit will be held from September 11th – September 12th, 2012 at the Renaissance Hotel in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

On Thursday, September 13, 2012, Michael Mang, Product Technology and Application Manager, will attend the 3rd Biobased Chemicals: Commercialization & Partnering Conference in San Francisco, California. Mr. Mang will deliver a presentation entitled "Accelerating Commercialization of Bio-Succinic Acid" at 3:25 p.m. PDT. The 3rd Biobased Chemicals: Commercialization & Partnering Conference will be held from September 13th – September 14th, 2012 at the Hilton Hotel in San Francisco, California.
